EARLY YEARS
In the early years homework is not a formal set activity. If parents know what activities are being undertaken in school the reading to, playing games with, and telling stories, along with all the normal household and family activities such as cooking and shopping are opportunities to reinforce and develop children’s learning.
All children need to be confident talkers! Talking to your child at all stages is one of the most important and undervalued activities that parents undertake. Home school tasks will be set that provide additional opportunities for children and parents to work together on something that is valued in school.
