      <title><![CDATA[MINUTES OF PFA MEETING 23/4/12]]></title>
      <description><![CDATA[A record 19 people attended. A fantastic turnout!

1. Chairperson(Tina O'Roche) welcomed everyone &amp; thanked everyone for coming along &amp; supporting the PFA. A few parents remarked that they did not realise how few parents actually attended the meetings &amp; were glad they had decided to show support.

2. New members confirmed.   Treasurer - Sue Bye  Vice Treasurer - Alison Blewitt   Vice Secretary - Danielle Stevens

3. Diamond Jubilee school party to be held on 1st June discussed;
  (a) Request made &amp; funds granted for PFA donation of £280 for red, white &amp; blue tableware.
  (b) Ian Spiller offered to contact local stores for donations towards celebrations.
  (c) Jill Lodge, Bethan Morgan &amp; Sarah Dee Tucker offered to run a 'bunting' workshop at school    with children.
  (d)Bethan Morgan kindly offered to find out if a police helicopter could take photos on the day of children looking up

5. Summer Fayre 7 July 11am - 3pm
  (a) Programme detailing all wonderful activities/stalls to be given out to all children 1 wk before fayre in hope of encouraging families to come along. 
Tracey Ezard gave an update on the activities she has voluntarily been doing, one of which was contacting local businesses offering advertising space on the programme as an income for the fayre. Mrs Lugg to ensure all advertising appropriate.
  (b) The Loft to do BBQ
  (c) Hog Roast to be priced by Kristie
  (d) Excellent raffle prizes being sourced. 
  (e) Volunteer sheet now held in office divided into sections e.g help with concert refreshments or discos, or prep time for fayres etc. for a bank of parents/friends to be contacted. PLEASE COULD ANYONE WITH EVEN AN HOUR TO SPARE AT EVENT TIMES GIVE THEIR DETAILS AT THE OFFICE. YOU REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
  (f) Colin John (ex services) offered 2 look into setting up activity camouflaging childrens faces, give them helmets &amp; ru ..]]></description>

      <title><![CDATA[MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS ]]></title>
      <description><![CDATA[MEETING - 5TH MARCH 2012
9 people present (incl committee members)

1. Dates for future discos agreed; 29/3, 30/5, 12/7
2. Summer Fayre date 7th July
3. Football tournament discussed &amp; agreed to be arranged for every other year to maintain level of interest. Next tournament in 2013.
4. 10th anniv celebrations - open day 23/3 for parents/carers to visit all classes. Volunteers needed for refreshments.
5. Diamond Jubilee - 'street party' in school. PFA agreed to donate money for jubilee badges that will be ordered for every child.
6. Txt request for any bunting to be sent.
7. PFA currently holding £6000 - requests made &amp; donations granted; (a) £2000 towards school library (b) 3 new gazebos for school events, PFA will purchase;  (c) Mrs Lugg requested a part funding donation for 22 Ipads to enable every class to use on rota. Costing will be drawn up.
8. Committee members requested to step down from role due to other commitments after a lengthy time in positions of Treasurer - Janice Jones,  Vice Treasurer - Janet Davies, Vice Secretary - Eira Davies. Anyone interested to take on roles to see Tina O'Roche (chairperson).
9. Txt to be sent by school from now on the Weds before next meeting to allow parents/friends notice &amp; then reminder sent on day of meeting to hopefully encourage more attendance.

MEETING 26TH MARCH, 2012.

1. School Disco -  All volunteers to be formally briefed at start of evening on designated first aid person, fire procedure &amp; allocation of jobs.
2.  Summer Fayre -  7th July 2012.
 Maes Yr Haul's Got Talent agreed a success last year, to be arranged again, the possibility of being hosted outside to be considered. 
Fancy dress parade/competition for any child who wishes to take part. 
 Better seating area to be planned.
 Pony rides on field &amp; goldfish for some stall prizes suggested but decided against due to Health &amp; Safety.

      <title><![CDATA[END OF TERM DISCO]]></title>
      <description><![CDATA[The disco will be held on Thursday, 9th February 2012 at the usual times of;

Foundation Phase   5.45 - 6.45pm

Keystage 2   7 - 8pm

TICKETS will be on sale at the office on Monday, 6th February at 8.30am &amp; again at 3pm

PLEASE CAN YOU ENSURE YOU READ THE FOLLOWING PICK UP/DROP OFF RULES FOR THE DISCO

1.  Infants get dropped off at the main reception.

2.  Infants get collected via the main entrance. You will be escorted into the hall, where you will see all of the children in a circle.  A few parents at a time will be let into the hall to avoid congestion. Once you have your child please leave via the other double doors (located next to the sweet stall). sWe would appreciate parents/friends to pick the children up (not siblings).

3. Juniors will enter via the doors leading to the hall from the playground. There will always be a member of staff/PFA on the door to make sure they are safe (for those collecting infants &amp; worried about leaving your older child).

4. Juniors will be collected the same way as the infants (see point 2 above).

NO CHILD WILL BE ALLOWED TO LEAVE WITHOUT A PARENT]]></description>

      <title><![CDATA[ AMOUNT OF FUNDS RAISED AT XMAS EVENTS]]></title>
      <description><![CDATA[<p><font size="4">A big thank you to all who supported, attended &amp; volunteered help at the xmas fayre.&nbsp; A whopping £900 was raised.&nbsp; Special thanks goes to all those who gave up their time on Thurs 1st Dec &amp; throughout the Friday preparing for the fayre. It was great to&nbsp;have volunteers running stalls which meant the PFA could offer more activities for the children e.g bracelet making with beads &amp;&nbsp;creating your own stamper wrapping paper.</font></p>
<p><font size="4">The Penny Parade also raised £207, the children really enjoyed lining up the pennies in the yard. Thanks to all parents who donated their pennies!</font></p>

      <title><![CDATA[CHRISTMAS ACTIVITIES FOR DECEMBER 2011]]></title>

<p><font size="4">On Thursday, 1st December all pupils are to be given the opportunity of bringing in to class a cupcake decorated with a xmas theme. Members of the PFA will be judging the entries &amp; the winners will be announced at the Xmas Fayre the following day.

All pupils are to be given the opportunity of bringing in coins (any denominations). The children will then line up all the coins their class has collected on the yard (weather permitting). The class with the longest coin parade will be the winners. A treat will be provided for the winning class.</font>
