SCHOOL COUNCIL REPORT
By :- Secretary - Danni-Elle Marsh
Every fortnight all 20 of us meet up in the staff room with Mrs B Taylor. This year we have had loads of ideas to make the school a better place for everyone such as ... having a few more benches and tables to enjoy our sandwiches in the summer with bins close by to put rubbish in as we are an eco-friendly school. We had the opportunity to meet with Carwyn Jones. We had a question and answer session where we learnt about more about the work he does and what he liked doing in his spare time. We also had an anti - bullying session and because that meeting went so well we will be attending another meeting at Bryntirion comprehensive school soon. We also got the chance to pick some games for the summer fete. We went around all the classes to ask children what games they wanted in their fete. Here are some examples: - “penalty shoot out, netball, basketball, football, feed the dragon, coconut shy, lucky dip and hook the duck.” We met with the Ground work Trust members to talk about the playing areas on Broadlands and we helped to decide where the activity bus should be placed.
