For most
of people of Sri Lanka 2004 the first thing that they heard
was the shouts and screams of their neighbours and the
water rushing under the doors. Most people who lived
through the Sri Lanka tsuniami say that when they swam out
of their homes the water was up to their necks. Windows
smashed and all valuables lost. People tried to climb up
trees but most of the trees broke due to the sheer power of
the water. Over 22,500 people were killed in eleven
countries.
